Senior Financial Analyst

Prepares complex financial analyses for various business opportunities, assesses associated risks, and makes recommendations. Evaluates financial / operational results and controls and provides management with information for effective planning and audit of the organization. Analyzes and interprets actual performance to plan, explains key variances, and makes recommendations for action. Assists and advises management in the evaluation of the financial aspects of existing and proposed business ventures (i.e.: cash flow, ROI, capital requirements, pricing, etc.).
Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate a vision, educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions. Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the data processed. Working knowledge of financial and non-financial measurements systems, lean manufacturing practices and cost management systems strongly preferred. Ability to establish goals and guide strategic and operational planning in the finance organization.
This position will also perform various analytical and reporting activities to support the Corporate Finance group, including:
Accounting for and analysis of capital equipment and tooling
Assistance with general ledger and month end close activities.
Preparation of various monthly and quarterly reports in support of Magna Mirrors management.
Providing assistance as required for quarterly forecast and annual planning processes
Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting, with minimum 2 years' experience in related field.
Has directly worked with an FAS (fixed Asset System)
Has previously analyzed and planned capital tooling projects.
Has worked with corporate spending
Proficient in use of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems. Must have ability to develop, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheets.
Experience with Baan, Hyperion and/or database administration a definite plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
